Board considers cell tower lease at Washington Street property

East Bridgewater Select Board hears new cell tower proposal, advances zoning articles. The board received a presentation from Verizon representative Samuel Tweedale regarding a possible 155-foot cell tower lease at town property on Washington Street, with members agreeing to seek departmental input and consider a public forum before proceeding. Unanimously, the board approved transmitting proposed zoning articles to the Planning Board, including MBTA community zoning and accessory dwelling units, for public hearings and Town Meeting recommendation on May 11.
Fire Chief John Dzialo's request for ambulance billing abatements totaling $37,249.61 through March 2026 was also unanimously approved.
