Committee ends military banner program; plans Memorial Day services

East Bridgewater Patriotic Activities Committee closes military banner program. The initiative honored residents who served in the military through approximately 140 banners, but the committee determined resources are not available to continue or replace damaged banners. Chairman Paul L.
Connell advanced Memorial Day planning with confirmed support: the Concert Band will perform, the CERT Team will manage chair setup, and the Commercial Club will provide a Chicken Barbecue. Veterans Services Officer Christopher Buckley reported ongoing fundraising efforts by Dave Sheedy and Charlie Selig for a permanent speaker system at the gazebo, which the American Legion aims to lead.
