Council on Aging Approves Director Report, Clarifies Eligibility

EAST BRIDGEWATER — Council on Aging receives $3,960 dental services grant, approves budget. Director Susan Prendergast reported to the board that a $6,000 earmark from the FY26 state budget for dental hygiene services was approved, with the first $3,960 installment received December 23, 2025. The FY27 budget was submitted with a proposed 2 percent reduction.

The board unanimously approved the director's report, which also noted placement of 40 Tax Workoff Program applicants, a self-defense class for women 60 and older led by Detective Cecelia Cacciatore, and a December holiday party that drew 114 attendees.
