Old Colony committee approves $405 million transportation investment plan

EAST BRIDGEWATER — Old Colony transportation committee unanimously approves $405 million five-year regional infrastructure program. The Old Colony Joint Transportation Committee unanimously approved the FFY 2027-2031 Transportation Improvement Program at its May 7 meeting, which includes $405 million for 16 road projects and three bridge projects, plus $139.3 million for Brockton Area Transit Authority assistance. The program includes a $3.5 million intersection improvement project at Route 18 and Highland Street in East Bridgewater, scheduled for fiscal year 2029.
The committee also unanimously approved amendments to the FFY 2026-2030 TIP, including a $67.5 million increase for the Route 3 bridge replacement spanning Norwell, Pembroke, and Marshfield.
