Old Colony MPO approves transportation plan including East Bridgewater

Town Clerk · Meeting of March 17, 2026

EAST BRIDGEWATER — Old Colony MPO approves revised transportation improvement program. The regional planning organization voted unanimously on March 17 to adopt the preferred scenario for its 2027-2031 transportation improvement program, maintaining existing projects and focusing on geographic balance across member communities including East Bridgewater, Brockton, and seven other towns. The decision reflects significant project cost increases and delays identified during planning review.

The MPO also unanimously approved an amendment to increase funding for a Brockton intersection improvement project from approximately $3.7 million to $4.5 million.
