EAST BRIDGEWATER — Select Board approves updates to town personnel policies. The board unanimously backed revisions to employee benefits, travel reimbursement, and leave policies presented by Assistant Town Administrator Rebecca Johnson on behalf of the Personnel Policy Review Committee. Approved changes include monthly sick leave accrual, expanded bereavement leave for domestic partners and household relatives, and clarified travel reimbursement procedures.
In related business, the board voted unanimously to warrant two new assistance programs: a Veterans Municipal Assistance Fund and an Elderly and Disabled Assistance Fund, both designed to provide emergency assistance through voluntary contributions.
