EAST BRIDGEWATER — Select Board approves police contracts and school bond financing. The East Bridgewater Select Board unanimously approved new contracts for the Police Chief and Deputy Police Chief during the May 11 meeting. In related action, the board approved the sale of $5,000,000 in General Obligation Bond Anticipation Notes at 3.50 percent to Truist Securities, Inc., at par plus a $7,750 premium, dated May 15, 2026, and payable August 20, 2026.
The financing will support the Central Elementary School project authorized by town meeting on November 10, 2025, which is expected to receive partial funding from a state school facilities grant.
