East Bridgewater Select Board backs $1.5 million YMCA federal grant application. The Board unanimously signed a support letter for the Old Colony YMCA East Bridgewater Branch's HUD Economic Development Initiative grant to renovate the facility and expand programming for seniors and families. The Board also unanimously approved a purchase contract with E-One for a new fire engine to replace a 29-year-old apparatus and signed a contract with Pro EMS Solutions for ambulance billing services selected for cost savings and technology support.
Police Chief Mike Jenkins introduced the department's newest officer, Hunter Baker, the first official non-civil service hire, who was sworn in by Town Clerk Katie Cavanagh after completing the Massachusetts Police Academy training program with a 94.33 average.
