Traffic Advisory Committee reviews street requests

Traffic Advisory Committee · Meeting of May 19, 2026

EAST BRIDGEWATER — Traffic Advisory Committee rejects two-sided parking restrictions on Church Street, defers bridge stop decision pending further analysis. The committee determined that two-sided restrictions are not reasonable or necessary, noting that one-sided parking limits would suffice if emergency vehicles and the public could safely access the roadway. Members found the supporting analysis for a proposed four-way stop at Bridge Street to be vague and requested additional information and clarification on the recommendation.

Police Chief Michael Jenkins agreed to provide details on a pending signage request.
