East Bridgewater board OKs $250,000 public safety study, sets October 7 town meeting. The Select Board approved a Kaestle Boos Associates contract for a feasibility study on a combined police and fire station, contingent on Town Meeting funding. The board also backed a Conservation Commission plan to preserve roughly 71.8 acres near town well sites and rescheduled the Special Town Meeting to October 7 so a member could attend.
Town Administrator Charlie Selig said a citizen petition restricting license plate reader cameras, signed by more than 250 voters, will appear on the warrant unchanged; the town's Flock contract was canceled August 21. "It doesn't change people's tax bills at all," Selig said of the study funding. The South Shore Recycling Cooperative's regional hazardous waste depot vote was tabled to September 28.
