Select Board · Meeting of September 28, 2026
East Bridgewater Select Board previews a 21-article special town meeting warrant and revives its disability committee. Town Administrator Charlie told the board the town's noncompliance with MBTA Communities zoning has now cost the school district an estimated "$300,000 to $400,000" in grant eligibility. Resident Katie McClellan of 89 North Water Street won unanimous support to reestablish the Americans with Disabilities Act Committee, which lapsed for lack of volunteers.
The board also approved a regional Hazardous Waste Depot agreement with the South Shore Recycling Cooperative, to be built on donated Hanover land and open seven times a year, and signed off on a $794 wage adjustment to its shared animal control agreement with Bridgewater and Raynham. Voters take up the full Oct. 7 warrant, including a citizen-petitioned license-plate-reader surveillance bylaw and a two-thirds data center zoning bylaw the planning board declined to recommend.
