East Bridgewater Planning Board unanimously sponsors a townwide data center ban, sets Sept. 21 hearing. Chair Kevin Reilly said town counsel drafted the article after the board signaled at a prior meeting it wanted "an outright ban" rather than a partial limitation; the hearing is set for 7:15 p.m. September 21.
The board also got an informal preview of a proposed adolescent mental health treatment center at 600 North Bedford Street, where a prospective operator identified only as Michael described an outpatient program for ages 12 to 17 with capacity for "15 to 20 patients" initially, in roughly 6,000 square feet near the Signature Health building. Separately, Reilly said the board would not release an old covenant tied to a pending property sale, calling it inconsistent with the property's current ownership, and the item may return to a future agenda.
