East Bridgewater Select Board Cuts Town Hall Monday Hours to 7 p.m.

EAST BRIDGEWATER — February 9, 2026 — East Bridgewater Select Board votes to close Town Hall one hour earlier on Monday nights starting March 2. The board unanimously approved operational changes flowing from a previously ratified clerical Memorandum of Agreement, reducing Town Hall's Monday public hours from 8 p.m. to 7 p.m., with Council on Aging changes taking effect March 6. Town Administrator Charlie told the board that foot traffic during the 7-to-8 p.m. Monday window is "extremely few" and that online payments, drop-box options, and telephone access remain available. The board also established two new standing employee committees — a Personnel Policy Review Committee and a Wellness and Engagement Committee — each with Carole Julius as Select Board liaison and no designated term, and tabled a vote on a FY2024–FY2026 patrol officers contract after no second was offered.
